Senior Chhattisgarh cadre bureaucrat B.V.R. Subrahmanyam posted to Jammu&Kashmir

The services of senior IAS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre B.V.R. Subrahmanyam has been placed at the disposal of the Jammu and Kashmir government, according to an official communique.

The 55-year-old a 1987-batch IAS officer, who hails from Andhra Pradesh, is likely to be appointed as the Chief Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir government in place of B.B. Vyas, officials said on Wedensday.

Mr. Subrahmanyam is at present the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) in Chhattisgarh.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved placing the services of Mr. Subrahmanyam at the disposal of the Jammu and Kashmir government, the communique issued by the Personnel Ministry said.
