A youth was injured after the government forces fired live ammunition and pellets at protesters in Redwani area of Kulgam on Friday.
Reports said that violent protests broke out in Redwani against the killing of four militants in a gunfight last night in Arwani area of Anantnag district. Three among the slain were residents of Kulgam district.
They said that the forces fired live ammunition, pellets and tear gas to break up the protests, resulting into injury to at least one protester.
The injured, identified as Faizan Rashid Sheikh of Rampora Kulgam, was shifted to SDH Bijbehara where he is being treated for bullet injury in his leg.
