An Anti-drug bike rally was flagged off in Poonch district of Jammu & Kashmir. The rally saw the participation of the youth of the district along with the police force who organized the rally. The bike marathon aimed at sensitizing people about the harmful effects of drugs. It was an effort to make people aware about toxic effects of drugs and to instill in them the spirit of staying fit. The cops can be seen riding on scooters and bikes, holding gigantic banners, reading anti-drug slogans and appealing to stop the usage of the toxic product. United Nations Drug Control Programme (UNDCP) reported that that youth particularly between the age group of 17-30 are involved in this menace of drug addiction. Aim of the rally is to curb this menace and diminish the horrific picture of substance abuse.
