Jammu: BJP high command has snubbed outspoken party leaders of J&K who have habit of speaking on controversial issues to remain in the limelight. After Home Minister Amit Shah’s directions to party leader at Srinagar on June 26 this year, this time party’s national working president JP Nadda has taken some leaders to task for unnecessarily speaking on controversial issues.
Credible sources said that during his recent meeting with J&K BJP leaders Nadda had snubbed them for speaking more and working less on the ground. He had suggested local leadership to rather do ground work for the forthcoming Assembly polls to form government in the state with the help of some like-minded groups.
Credible sources said a strict clear warning has been given to local leaders against speaking on contentious issue like Article 35A and 370 and asked them to speak on civic issues only because they (local leaders) lack vision to speak on such important issues.
As reported in the media, the aim of meeting was to give directions to the state leadership against indulging into controversies on contentious issues. The Central leadership has made it clear to local leaders that big issues like Article 35A, 370 and setting up a delimitation commission would be solved by the high command only. At the meeting, it was mentioned that the BJP government is committed to fulfilling ideological commitments, but it will take some time.
