DDC Shopian chairs DLRC meet

SHOPAIN, MARCH 14: The 3rd District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting of District Shopian for current fiscal year was held today under the chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner, Muhammad Saleem Malik.

The meeting was attended by LDO RBI, DDM NABARD, District heads of line Departments and representatives of Banks.

The meeting was informed that the total credit outstanding of all the banks as on December 31, 2018 is at Rs 1109.74 crore .   The percentage of priority sector advances to total advances is at 82% against the mandatory requirement of 40%. The percentage of advances to agriculture is 75.10% against the mandatory requirement of 18%. Banks have disbursed Rs. 647.88 Crore to 18014 beneficiaries in Small Enterprises against the annual target of Rs. 915.59 Crore  recording   85.32% achievement  in financial terms and 72% in physical terms.

It was informed that the contribution of Jammu & Kashmir Bank towards the achievements in the DCP of financial year 2018-19 as on 31st December 2018 is 93.26%. The bank has disbursed Rs 604.27 Crore out of Rs 647.87 crore total disbursement by all banks  up to 31st December 2018.

The District Additional District Development Commissioner emphasised the bankers to adhere strictly the guide line of RBI and ensure liberal lending to the priority sector so that socio economic conditions of the people is improved.
