A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Haryana, Rattan Lal Kataria, on Saturday made controversial remarks against Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his late father Rajiv Gandhi over the Bofors case.
Speaking in Panchkula, Kataria said, “Iska baap toh mar gaya, Rahul ka, Bofors kaand ke laaga chunri mein daag mitaaoon kaise, voh to iss dunia se chala gaya aur daag mitte nahi. Aur voh hamein keh rahe hain.”
Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi, Kataria brought up the Bofors scandal, saying that former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, who was assassinated in 1991, has died and left this scam behind.
