Patiala, September 16: CID ASI Harmail Singh allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service revolver on Sunday night.
Police are investigating the matter.
Harmail, 40, allegedly took the extreme step around 11 pm.
Singh, a resident of Banur near Rajpura, was recently promoted as ASI.
