Shimla, April 25:State BJP president Satpal Satti has been issued a third notice on the directions of the Election Commission of India (ECI) for using derogatory language against his political opponents.

Deputy Commissioner, Mandi, who is the Returning Officer, issued the notice to Satti today. It is now being served to Satti through DC, Una.

This is the third notice that has been served to Satti in the last fortnight for his derogatory and abusive utterances against Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. The notice has been issued to Satti on his latest remarks made on Wednesday on the occasion of filing of nomination papers by party candidates Ram Swaroop in Mandi.

He had said: “Will cut arms of those pointing fingers at BJP leaders or the PM.” He also said that “had it not been for the model code of conduct, he would have given a befitting reply to the Congress, right there,” adding that, “If anyone calls our leader (PM) ‘chor’, are we expected to remain quiet?”

He has been reprimanded by the ECI twice earlier by imposing a 48 hour and issuing a warning for his remarks at election meetings in Nalagarh and Una.

Despite, the ECI issuing a warning to Satti on the second notice to not repeat such behaviour, the BJP chief seems to be incorrigible.
