Chandigarh, July 26:Justice Sneh Parashar, a former judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, has been appointed the chairperson of the newly constituted Haryana Administrative Tribunal.

An order appointing Justice Parashar as chairperson for five years or up to the age of 65, whichever is earlier, was issued by the Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.

On the request of the Haryana Government, the Central Government set up the tribunal on July 24 with a view to providing speedy redressal to employees’ grievances and reduce pendency of service matters in the high court.

However, the constitution of the tribunal has sparked off indefinite protest by members of the Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association since Thursday.
