14 new among 136 active coronavirus cases in Punjab

As many as 1,898 people have recovered in the state so far

Chandigarh, May 25: With 14 new cases reported from the state on Monday, the total number of coronavirus positive cases in the state has reached 2,074.

Of the new case, six were reported from Amritsar district, six from Jalandhar, one from Tarn Taran and one from Kapurthala.

Among the Amritsar cases, one is a new case (foreign returned); of the local cases, there are three new cases (ILI), one is a contact of a positive case, and one new case of a travel history of Aligarh. The Tarn Taran case has a travel history of Maharashtra.

Of the Jalandhar cases, five are contacts of a positive case and one is a new case (SARI). The Kapurthala case is a new case with a travel history of Maharashtra.

As many as 1,898 people have recovered in the state so far. There are 136 active cases in the state at present.
