Bhaderwah Campus organized one day State Level Webinar

Bhaderwah January 29 : The Business School Bhaderwah Campus University of Jammu in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute organized one day State level webinar on the title “Role of JKEDI in Development and Creation of New Enterprises”. 203 participants got registered for the webinar out of which 100 participated. 

The participants were from various states of India. The webinar started with the welcome address by Dr. Umesh Choudhary who was also the convener of the webinar. Dr. Umesh Choudhary introduced the theme of the Webinar to the participants. He discussed the parameters for success index of a country and further said that employment opportunities in Government sector is reducing day by day and unemployment is increasing in our country.  He further highlighted Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narinder Modi ji slogan “local for vocal” and his efforts to promote small scale business in our country. 

Prof. Rahul Gupta, Rector Bhaderwah Campus who was also the Patron of the Webinar delivered the presidential address. He insisted on the need of such valuable events in the present scenario. Prof. Gupta appreciated the efforts made by both Dr. Umesh Choudhary, the Convener of the webinar and Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute for organising this webinar.

He expressed that entrepreneurship is a key to eradicate the unemployment problem from our country. “A new entrepreneur when start his business gives jobs to other people also. So an entrepreneur is contributing for enhancing the job opportunities in the country,” he said adding further that for a successful Entrepreneur he must have knowledge about the legal formalities he has to follow while doing their business and this type of webinars will definitely guides the new entrepreneur, students and various section of the society who want start their own business what are the do’s and don’ts they have to follow while doing their business.  

He further informed that the Bhaderwah Campus will keep organizing such types of events in future also. 

Mr. Vishal Ray, Faculty JKEDI, who was the keynote speaker for the webinar, shared his knowledge and expertise on working of JKEDI. In addition to this he further discussed about the various schemes launched by JKEDI for the welfare of the state. He further discussed about the procedure for applying any scheme in JKEDI. He shared with the audience that JKEDI organize various awareness programs time to time in all districts and these programs guide each and every legality a new entrepreneur has to follow while startup of their venture.

The next speaker Mr. Raiyees Manzoor Faculty in Entrepreneurship JKEDI spoke on Incubation. He extended indepth knowledge to the participants that how to move on from traditional and popular system of livelihood that is government jobs to new emerging system of entrepreneurship. He discussed various success stories of startups and entrepreneurship which started with small capital to multi corer turnover.  He also discussed various schemes available with JKEDI and other institutions for startups. He further discussed various rules and regulations and requirement of the startups    

The presentations were followed by threadbare discussion and questions on the topics covered in the webinar. 

The webinar was appreciated by all the participants for the valueable information they have gained. 

Webinar ended with vote of thanks by Dr. Kuljit Singh Academic Coordinator and Co- convener of the Webinar to all the delegates.
