Barnoti Zone, Kathua, 20-03-2024: A comprehensive one-day workshop was held today at Zone Barnoti, focusing on the intricacies of annual result formulation and encouraging enrollment in government schools. The workshop was organized under the guidance of the experienced mentor, Sr. Gurnam Singh, Master from GMS Jasrota.
Sr. Gurnam Singh provided in-depth training to all Head of the institutions (HOIs) on various assessment methodologies and procedures. He highlighted the importance of both formative and summative assessments in evaluating student progress and identifying areas for improvement.
The HOIs were also guided on the preparation of comprehensive Result Registers for different stages of education. This step is crucial for accurate reporting and analysis of student performance.
Apart from assessments, the workshop emphasized the urgent need to increase enrollment in government schools. Singh issued an appeal to all the HOIs to organize enrollment drive programs within their respective areas. He stressed that enhancing enrollment will help bridge the gap between government and private schools, providing equal opportunities for all students.
The participants expressed their gratitude for the valuable training they received. They acknowledged the practical and applicable nature of the information provided by Mr. Singh.
Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Mrs. Sandhya Devi and Zonal Education Planning Officer (ZEPO), Barnoti, Mrs. Sneh Lata ZEPO Barnoti encouraged the HOIs and masters to take proactive steps in implementing the enrollment drive program. They emphasized the importance of ensuring that every child has access to quality education in a government school.
The workshop successfully achieved its objectives. The participants gained a thorough understanding of assessments and result formulation, which will enhance their ability to evaluate and report student progress effectively. The emphasis on enrollment drive initiatives will pave the way for increased enrollment in government schools, promoting equal access to education.
