Baramulla, November 4: A youth succumbed to an incident of lightning in the woods of Uri in the north Kashmir district, official sources said here on Sunday.
Sources said that the deceased Shabir Ahmad (38) had gone into the forest area of Gowhalan, Uri, when the lightning struck on Saturday.
He was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.
The actual cause of his death is yet to be ascertained, sources added.
