Internet was snapped in south Kashmir districts of Anantnag and Kulgam on Saturday following the killing of a militant in a brief shootout with the government forces in Achabal.
An official said the service was suspended as a precautionary measure.
Earlier, a militant, identified as Bilal Ahmad Bhat of Yaripora Kulgam, was killed in a shootout with the forces.
