Bareilly, Dec 8 : Two people were killed after a speeding truck rammed into a tractor-trolley standing on the roadside in the Faridpur area here, police said on Saturday.
Superintendent of Police (rural) S Singh here said that a speeding truck hit a tractor –trolley, standing on the roadside to fix a puncture, at a distance of about one kilometer from the Devrania chowki on Friday night.
Owner of the tractor-trolley Rajvir (35), resident of Trikunia village and Ramsevak (42), the one fixing the puncture died on the spot.
Enraged people tried to set the truck afire. Several policemen from different police stations reached the spot and tried to control the situation.
The bodies have been sent for postmortem.
