KULGAM, JUNE 9: In order to finalize the arrangements for the celebration of annual Varshik Maha Yagya at Shree Tripoor Sundri Asthapan Khanabarni Devsar & Manzgam starting from 11th of June, Deputy Commissioner Sajad Hussain today took a review meeting of different District officers.
On the occasion, DDC directed the PDD department to provide uninterrupted power supply for yatries. The PHE department was asked to keep available adequate supply of pure drinking water during the festival days. It was decided in the meeting that health department will keep available a mobile medical van besides sufficient staff of doctors & paramedics for the convenience of Yatries. Similarly, the CAPD department was directed to keep available the abundant supply of Rice, Sugar & LPG.
The DDC on the occasion directed Police & Paramilitary forces to put in place all the security arrangements around the Asthapan in advance. It is worth to mention that on the eve of Jaisht Ashtami starting from 11th June up to June 22 June the Porun Aahoti & Maha Yagya will be performed on 20th & 21th of June at Khanabarni Devsar & Mazgam in Kulgam District.
Latter the Deputy Commissioner visited Nawa village to solve the water crisis of the village for which people of the village hailed his efforts.
