Srinagar, November 10: Two militants of Hizbul Mujahideen were killed in a gunfight in a Pulwama village on Saturday.The gunfight broke out between militants and security forces after a cordon and search operation in Pulwama’s Tikken village.
Two militants were killed after gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Tikken area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday morning.
Information reaching PAIGAAM and media reports read that two militants were killed in a brief encounter after a joint team of army’s 55RR, 180/183 BN CRPF and SOG cordoned off Tikken area after getting specific information about presence of some militants in the area.
SSP Pulwama Chandan Kohli told media that two militants have been killed and both are local youth.
As per sources both the slain militants are identified as Liyaqat of Bellow Pulwama and Wajid of Babhar Pulwama.
