KARGIL : – In connection with the forthcoming Panchayat elections, a training programme for the polling staff was held on the second consecutive day today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kargil Vikas Kundal at Auditorium Hall Kargil who is also the District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO).
The training programme was held in two phases wherein around 600 Government employees from different blocks of the district participated.
The District Level Master Trainers (DLMTs) including the District Social Welfare Officer Aga Syed Jamal and Zonal Education Officer Kargil Muhammad Mussa imparted basic knowledge and fundamental techniques about conducting polling in a befitting manner.
The polling staff was also enlightened about how to ensure free and fair elections at their respective polling stations while strictly adhering to the guidelines laid by the Election Commission of India (ECI).
Later, the first randomization of polling staff for the 3rd Phase was also was held, in presence of the Deputy District Election Officer Nargis Banoo and District Informatics Officer Iftikhar Hussain.
Meanwhile, the DPEO said that all arrangements have been put in place for ensuring free, fair and transparent elections in the district.
