JAMMU : Mr Mohd Farooq Shan Associate Editor The Sight & Sound Weekly Jammu has condemned the brutal killing of the top journalist in Kashmir Mr Shujat Bukhari.
Mr Shan who is also state convener International Human Rights Council has termed the incident as an attack on the impartial ethics of journalism in the state.
Mr shan in a press release here termed Mr Bukari as the bold and impartial voice of Kashmir and added that the endeavors of Mr Bukhari in the growth of impartial journalism shall continue and swords shall not be allowed to kill the power of pen in the turbulent state.
Mr Shan expressed shock over the killing and heartfelt condolences and sympathies with the bereaved family and also demanded and independent judicial probe into the incident of killing.
