UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 21: The Revenue department organized day long training cum workshop for revenue officers and officials regarding 6th Census of Minor Irrigation Schemes and Census of Water Bodies here today.
District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar was the chief guest on the occasion.
Deputy Director Planning FCR Office, Khursheed Khassana gave a brief about the minor irrigation census reference 2017-18.
While addressing the gathering, the DDC said that irrigation plays a pivotal role in enhancing agricultural production. He said that the water management is of crucial importance for sustained development of agriculture. He exhorted upon the field functionaries to step up their efforts for effective implementation of policy and planning regarding minor irrigation in their respective areas.
Among others present were Tehsildar Head Quarter, Arti Bhardwaj, Tehsildar Udhampur, Ved Parkash Assistant Director FCR Office, Mohd Iqbal besides all Naib Tehsildars, Patwaries, GQ’s and field functionaries of concerned departments.
