KATHUA, DECEMBER 21: Tehsil Information Centre, Basohli today organized a multilingual Mushaira here at Government Model Higher Secondary School.
Principal Pawan Basotra was the chief guest while staff and a large number of students were present on the occasion.
The poets recited their creations in Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and Dogri languages on various social evils like Corruption, drug addiction, female foeticide, gender disparity, illiteracy and dowry system.
Prominent among the poets who recited their writings included Dr Bhushan Shastri, Suresh Shastri, Major Singh, Sapna Devi, N D Bakshi and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Basotra expressed gratitude to the Information Department for organizing the literary event in the school.
