Shopian, December 22: District Development Commissioner Shopian, Dr Owais Ahmed, today chaired a meeting to review the functioning of Rural Development Department in the District.
During the meeting, the DDC reviewed progress made under MGNREGA. He pressed for time-bound completion of all rural development works. The DDC directed the employees to be sensitive to the demands of people and address them at every level in time bound manner.
The meeting was informed that out of 1458 approved works 826 have been completed so far.
Additional District Development Commissioner Shopian, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Shopian, Assistant Commissioner Development Shopian, District Panchayat Officer, Block Development Officers and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
