Army on Tuesday said a blast occurred in an unmanned shelter inside the Brigade headquarter in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. However, there were no casualties.
Talking to media, army spokesperson Lt Col Devender Anand said the blast has nothing to do with cross-border shelling (from Pakistan).
“There is no foul play. And no one was injured as nobody was near the blast site. It is under investigation,” he said.
Reports said that blast took place at around 10:45AM inside the brigade headquarter located close to Poonch town.
“The shell has landed in Poonch and came from across the LoC (most probably) and we are ascertaining about it and investigation is going on,” said SSP Poonch Rajiv Pandey.
