Jammu, Oct 25: A woman from Kashmir on Thursday alleged that she was being harassed by two men from the Valley for the last more than a year and no action has been taken against them despite several complaints lodged by her in the police station.
The woman, however, has appealed to Governor Satya Pal Malik to intervene to provide justice to her.
“Two men namely Zahid Ali Khan of Baramulla and Mudassir Hussain Khan of Magam have made my life hell and are harassing me for more than one year,” Wasiya Rashid, 26, from Baramulla here told reporters.
She alleged that many complaints have been lodged by her in Pattan and Baramulla police stations but no action has been initiated so far by the police department.
“They have maligned my image by posting objectionable content of mine on social media but my complaints are not being entertained seriously by the police,” said the victim.
She further alleged that her family is being threatened by the terrorists at the behest of the men harassing her, adding, “if I will not get justice, I will commit suicide in front of the Crime Branch office as they are more responsible for tarnishing my image rather than taking action against the culprits.”
“I appeal to the Governor of the state to intervene and issue directions from his chair so that I get the justice,” she added.
