KARGIL, NOVEMBER 26: National Law Day was observed today here at District Court Complex under the chairmanship of Chairman Tehsil Legal Service Committee Sankoo Muneer Ahmad (Munsiff JMIC, Sankoo Kargil).
On the occasion, State plan of action and calendar of activities for the year 2018-19 of National Legal Service Authority (NLSA) was also highlighted.
Members of Bar Association Kargil, ministerial staff of the court, staff members of prosecuting wing and PLVs attended the programme.
The Chairman TLSC said that the Law Day is observed to spread the awareness among the citizens of Country about the civilizing rule of Law in a changing society. He emphasized that Laws are meant to be obeyed and that the citizens should cultivate the spirit of obedience and regard to words of the Laws of constitution of India.
Public Prosecutor Kacho Manzoor Ali Khan, in his inaugural address said that the day is celebrated every year in the country to mark the day of enactment and adoption of the constitution.
Khadim Hussain president Bar Association, Haji Ghulam Murtaza, Senior Advocate, Secretary Bar Association Advocate Talib Hussain, Senior Prosecuting Officer Nawang Norboo, Prosecuting Officer Bilal Ahmad, besides Advocates Asgar Ali Yarkin, Reyaz Ahmad Khan and Shan Haidry also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the importance of the Law Day.
