Legal awareness camp arrangements reviewed at Kupwara

KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 26: In order to review the arrangements being put in place for smooth conduct of Mega Legal Awareness Camp, a joint meeting of the officers of Judiciary and district administration was held here today with Principal District and Sessions Judge Kupwara, Mohammad Ibrahim Wani in chair.

District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir, Sub Judge Kupwara, Prem Sagar, ADDC Kupwara M Y Mir, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, ACD, District officers and other stakeholders were present in the meeting.

The meeting was informed that the camps are being conducted as per the directions of State Legal Services Authority in every district, wherein identified people will be provided with financial assistance, awareness, required certificates etc under various schemes by various government departments, while as stalls will also be installed in the Legal Awareness Camp.

The meeting discussed threadbare issues and suggestions to manage the legal camp, besides the schemes existing in Social Welfare, ICDS, RDD, PDD, Education, Labour, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Agriculture, Banks and other departments

On the occasion, the Principal District and Sessions Judge Kupwara, who is also Chairman DLSA Kupwara, sought cooperation from the district administration to make the camp a success. He asked officers to identify the deserving cases towards availing benefited under various schemes/programmes.

The DDC assured the Sessions Judge that every possible support will be provided by the district administration. He directed the officers to install stalls besides banners/posters along with the name of their departments, schemes, plans and programmes so that the visiting people do not face any inconvenience.
