Several protesters were injured in massive clashes which broke out after the killings of two militants in a gunfight with the government forces in Panzan village of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday.
Two militants were killed in a fierce gunfight that raged for several hours in Panzan following a search operation launched by the government forces.
Clashes erupted soon after the youth took to streets and pelted the forces with stones. The forces responded by firing tear gas and pellets.
Reports said that over a dozen persons were injured in the clashes with the forces. They said that several among the injured hit by pellets were referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment.
