RAJOURI, DECEMBER 28: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Mohd Aijaz Asad today reviewed the arrangements for the Republic Day 2019 celebration held at Dak Bunglow with the concerned officers.
It was decided that the main function will be held at District Police Lines where the national flag would be unfurled by the chief guest followed by the parade comprising the contingents from JK Police, CRPF, NCC cadets and school children.
It was further informed that colourful cultural programmes based on nationalism, patriotic theme, local folks and local culture would also be presented by the students on the occasion and function will end with the prize distribution ceremony.
The rehearsal for the function will start from January 13 and full day rehearsal will be organised on January 24. The cultural item shall be screened on January 18, 2019.
Decoration of the main venue ground, rostrum, seating arrangements, uninterrupted power supply, drinking water/tanker service, barricading of venue, medical aid camp, availability of ambulance, deployment of fire tenders, transportation facilities, invitations, cleanliness and sanitation measures were discussed threadbare in the meeting while as special emphasis was laid on refreshments, transportation, mobile toilets and change room facilities for participating students and others besides arrangements for ‘At home” celebration of the Republic Day were discussed and finalised.
The DC directed the concerned officers and agencies to ensure better coordination for arranging all arrangements well in place for making the national function a grand success.
ADC Sher Singh, ASP Liaquat Chowdhary, ACR, AC defence, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Executive Engineers of PWD, PHE and PDD, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, DTO, ARTO, Military officers and representatives of various departments were present in the meeting.
