At least eight structures were gutted in a major fire that broke out in Darogyan Bufliyaz village area in Surankote area of Poonch district on Monday.
Reports said the fire broke out in a house in the village and soon engulfed seven other houses within no time.
“Several fire tenders were pressed into services to douse the flames,” Sub Divisional Magistrate Surankote, Saleem Qureshi said.
