Swasth Bharat Yatra reaches Samba
SAMBA, NOVEMBER 29: The Swasth yatra was today accorded warm reception at Samba by the district adminsteration, social, political and business organizations besides schools.
The event witnessed elaborate awareness programmes and a prabhat pheri taken out in the district as part of this Swasth Yatra.
The function was presided over by ADDC Pankaj Magotra while Joint Director FSSAI Dr.A.C Mishra, Col. Dharminder Panday NCC, Dr. Rajinder Samyal CMO, Dr. Roshi Bhagat (Paediatrician) and President Birpur Industrial Association, Gagan Jain were the guests of honour.
The speakers including Dr.AC Mishra, Dr. Roshi Bhagat and student Dikhsa Sambyal highlighted the significance and salient features of Eat Right India Movement.
ADDC flagged off Prabhat Pheri during which the participants were carrying slogans based on the themes of the yatra. Besides, on the spot tests of Food items by mobile testing vans were also demonstrated as a part of awareness and door to door service.
During the afternoon session, hundreds of students of New Mission School Samba participated in ‘Swasth Bharat Yatra’.
The delegation from FSSAI led by Dr.AC Mishra, Assistant Commissioner Food Safety Samba Rajan Kapoor and Taraq Ahmad Butt delivered lectures on ‘Eat Right India Movement’.
Chairman of the School Gourav Abrol assured implementation of the theme of Swasth Bharat Yatra in his institution.
The District Administration, NCC, Traders, Social organisations, prominent citizens, stakeholders, school children joined hands in this event to sensitize the people about the importance of this Swasth Yatra.
