DC Rajouri discusses measures for removal of encroachments on State land

RAJOURI, DECEMBER 31: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad today convened a meeting of officers of the Revenue Department to discuss measures for removal of encroachments on state/Kahcharai land, compensation cases, disposal of complaints under government grievances cell, preparation of jamabandis and other revenue matters in the conference hall of DC Office.

The meeting was attended by ADC Rajouri Sher Singh ADC Nowshera Sachin Dev Singh, ADC kotranka Ved Parkash, ACR Rajouri, Mohd Ashraf, SDM Thanamandi Tanvir Ahmed, SDM Kalakote Rajesh Basotra, all Tehsildars of the district and other revenue functionaries.

The meeting discussed threadbare various measures towards removal of encroachments on state/Kahcharai land, status of writing of Jamabandi, status of writing of Girdawaris, attestation of pending mutations with special reference to mutations conducting of Girdawari Rabi 2018 and submission of Goshwara-jinswara, distribution of pass books, inspection of Patwar Khana and report of karguzari, compensation cases, identifications of land for stadium at peeri, Pahari hostel and action on the complaints received through Government Grievances cell and reports on the vigilance cases.

Deputy Commissioner directed the revenue authorities to carry out the anti-encroachment drives across all the Tehsils of the district to ensure that encroachment on state and kahcharai land is removed forthwith and directed all the Tehsildars to furnish a fortnightly report with regard to removal of encroachments in their respective Tehsils. DDC directed the revenue officers to submit an eviction plan in the office so that coordination between revenue and police authorities could be maintained. Deputy Commissioner said the retrieved land will be utilized for public purpose and efforts will be made to ensure community involvement for the safeguarding of retrieved land

He instructed the revenue authorities to identify the state land for construction of playgrounds at peeri, land for the construction of Pahari hostel in Rajouri and land for the establishment of government libraries in the district.

While taking the review of progress in the preparation of Jamabandis, DDC shows his dismay over the poor performance and directed the Revenue officers to complete the process within two months.

Meanwhile, a threadbare discussion was also held on the land acquisition cases and pendency of the revenue papers and directed the revenue officers to complete the process of land acquisition within shortest possible time and submit the revenue papers for further actions.

DDC also instructed the revenue officers to submit the monthly progress report, tour diaries and roznamcha waqiti on 5th of every month.
