J&k State commission for protection of women and children sensitized two hundred icds ,health and other functionaries

As a measure of generating awareness among the women folk of the remote areas of District kishtwar, J&K State Commission for protection of women and children organised a legal awareness programme at Sub-Divisional HQ Chattroo.
Dr Khalid Hussain Malik Secretary J&K WC presided over the programme.
As per the details revealed Arun Kumar Tehsildar Chattroo, Muzaffar Wani BDO Chattroo, Mr. Mohammad Aslam CDPO and officers and officials of line departments participated in the Awareness Programme.
One of the young and emerging journalist, social activist and consultative member in JK women child commission Miss Nidhi Sharma and Advocate Anjali Sharma from DLSA threw light upon the various women issues and their remedial measures available with the J&k state crommission for women.
The programme witnessed an interactive session between the resource persons and participants and officers of local administration.
It is worthwhile to mention here that approximating to two hundred women and children from varied organisation attended the programme.
Anganwadi Workers, Asha Workers and women and children from other public institutions were sensitized about their rights and duties.
The programme ended with a speech on appeal to audience by Dr Khalid Malik Secretary women commission for sticking to their local family based panchayat system and in case of any conflict situation, aggrieved must approach to OSC, FCC and J&K State commission for violation of rights of women and children.
Dr Khalid assured the audience of every help right from legal to financial through established institutions working for the women and children cause.
At the closure of the programme, the activists of j&k WC thanked all the audience and public institutions which extended their support for making the programme successful.
