The armies of India and Pakistan shelled each other in Mendhar tehsil of Poonch district of Jammu last night, leaving a woman and her two children injured.
Reports said Azad Ahmad (20), his sister Zahida Khatoon (15) and their mother Zarina (45) wife of Mohd Shabir – all residents of Ghani village in Mankote – were injured in the shelling.
They said the injured were rushed to sub-district hospital Mendhar where from Azad Ahmad was referred to district hospital Rajouri for specialised treatment.
