Chandigarh, June 2 :Gurdaspur Member of Parliament Sunny Deol’s holiday video appears to have not gone down well with voters in Punjab.
Deol, who’s on his way to Kaza, Himachal Pradesh, has uploaded a video on his Instagram, with the caption “Missing freedom #freedom”. The video shows him at an unnamed place, with snow capped mountains behind him. Deol says in the video that the place is “on the way to Kaza”, and that he’d love to spend the winter there.
The video may have garnered likes from his fans in general, but voters in Punjab are clearly not impressed. In comments that appear to take on a sarcastic tone, some users have commented that Deol was voted to “serve the people of Gurdaspur”. Another user has said that Deol should now “see Gurdaspur”.
Another added: “Prawa aja hun punjab kini thnd khayega tainu jitaya gurdaspur di sewa krn layi na ki jitn toh bad tuh bs chle jaye ghumn” (Brother, come back to Punjab, how long will you stay in the cold? You’ve been voted to serve the people of Gurdaspur, and you’re just travelling.)
One fan said: “Sir plz came back to Gurdaspur bcz everyone missing your presence here”.
Another user wrote: “Pau hun edr gurdaspur aajo vele ho k yr, bde km pye (Get free and come back to Gurdaspur, there’s work to be done here.)”
One user said: “Gurdaspur is waiting sunny deol g”.
