Deputy Commissioner Shopian reviews functioning of grievance cell.
SHOPIAN: APRIL,20: Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Dr Owais Ahmed, today convened a meeting so as to review grievance redressal mechanism functional in the district. Additional Deputy Commissioner Shopian ,SDM Zainapora, Tehsildars, Chief Education Officer, ARTO and other district officers participated in the said meeting.
In the meeting it was discussed that the public grievances received at the DC level are to be disposed off in time bound manner. It was further discussed that the status of pending grievances will be examined by the nodal officer of each department daily and a weekly review will be taken at DC office Shopian. The offices which show laxity in disposal of grievances will face strict action.
On the occasion Deputy Commissioner also directed the tehsildars to conduct extensive tours and fortnightly camps in their tehsils so that the important issues of the area can be redressed effectively. He further said that it is the duty of each officer to create a healthy environment at their offices for the public as well as the officials working with them.
