DECC’s Counselling sessions continue across Udhampur District
UDHAMPUR, MAY 28: Career Counselling wing of District Employment and Counselling Centre Udhampur has conducted counselling sessions for nearly 6,000 students at different government schools in the district.
Over 500 students mainly from Government Higher Secondary School Salmehi and Government Higher Secondary School Krimachi provided counselling and guided by DE&CC’s Career Counselling Officer Saima Bano.
Counselling sessions are being conducted in colleges and schools across the district. Officers from DE&CC are visiting schools and colleges in far off areas of the district and conducting counselling sessions in consultation with Education authorities.
Assistant Director DECC, Waqar Talib, said the aim of the counselling campaign is to develop positive attitude among the students towards studies and to help them fully engage in career planning. The ongoing counselling will enable students to understand and adopt strategies that will be helpful in their future pathway, he said.
The sustained awareness and counselling campaign for students across the district has been launched by DE&CC authorities under the supervision of Deputy Director District Employment and Counselling Centre Udhampur, Subhash Chander Dogra.
