Jammu: In the interest of streamlining the academic calendar and ensuring uniformity across institutions, the Directorate of School Education Jammu has issued fresh directives regarding school timings in the Summer and Winter Zones of Jammu Division.
As per Order No. 368-DSEJ of 2025, all Government and recognized Private Schools in the Summer Zone shall observe timings from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for the month of October 2025. With effect from November 1, 2025, the timing shall be 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, except for schools situated within the jurisdiction of Jammu Municipal Corporation and adjoining urban agglomerations, where timings shall remain 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
For the Winter Zone of Jammu Division, the revised timing of 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM shall come into effect from November 1, 2025.
The order further cautions that any deviation shall invite strict action under rules in vogue.
Issued under the hand and seal of the Director School Education Jammu, the circular has been shared with all concerned administrative and educational authorities for immediate compliance.
