DODA, June 5 – Schools across Doda district today observed World Environment Day with immense enthusiasm and a profound sense of environmental responsibility. The celebrations saw active participation from students, teachers, and officials in a diverse array of eco-centric activities held at the school level.

In a significant demonstration of commitment towards environmental conservation, Chief Education Officer Doda Mr.Mohammad Hafiz actively joined students and staff in planting saplings as part of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” 2.0 campaign—a commendable initiative launched by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

The day was vibrant with a host of engaging activities including spirited debate competitions, creative drawing contests, insightful awareness sessions, and impactful plantation drives. Students eloquently articulated their thoughts on the crucial importance of preserving nature and combating climate change, while art competitions brilliantly showcased their creativity and genuine concern for the environment.
