In alignment with the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga 2025 campaign, a Mega Rakhi Competition was organised with great zeal at Government Higher Secondary School, Nagri Parole. The event was held under the able leadership of Principal Sh. Jatinder Sethi, and in accordance with the directions issued by the Chief Education Office, Kathua . The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from schools across the Nagri cluster, including Primary, Middle, and High Schools.
The event was graced by Sh. Rajeev Abrol, Chief Education Officer, Kathua, as the Chief Guest. He was warmly welcomed by the Principal and staff and took a keen interest in interacting with the students, appreciating their creativity and patriotic spirit. Under the meticulous planning and guidance of Principal Sethi, the event beautifully showcased the themes of national unity and pride. Students handcrafted rakhis in saffron, white, and green, with a striking Ashoka Chakra at the centre. These rakhis were artistically arranged on large symbolic models representing national icons such as the BrahMos missile, reflecting both innovation and reverence for national symbols.
As a heartfelt gesture, these rakhis will be sent to Indian soldiers and police personnel, conveying messages of love, respect, and gratitude from the student community. The event not only celebrated patriotism but also reminded everyone of their collective duty towards the nation. Principal Sh. Jatinder Sethi ensured smooth coordination and motivated students to participate wholeheartedly, reaffirming his commitment to holistic and value-based education.
On the occasion, the Chief Guest also convened a meeting with staff members of the participating schools. He stressed the importance of punctuality, proper maintenance of teacher diaries and school records, timely updating of JK Attendance, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in schools. He urged teachers to perform their duties with dedication and missionary zeal. The interaction concluded on a motivating and positive note.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Principal Sh. Jatinder Sethi, who expressed sincere gratitude to CEO Kathua for his esteemed presence, encouragement, and continuous support for improving the standard of education in the district. He also acknowledged the tireless efforts of the staff and enthusiastic participation of students that made the event a resounding success.
