Jammu, November 13, 2025 — Dr. Romesh Kumar, a renowned Psychologist and Head of Department at DIET Jammu, was conferred the Ph.D. in Psychology during the 19th (Second Special) Convocation of the University of Jammu. The degree was presented by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Umesh Rai. The convocation ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha as the Chief Guest and Hon’ble Former Chief Minister Shri Omar Abdullah as the Guest of Honour.
Dr. Romesh Kumar is well-known for his contributions in the field of mental health promotion, school counselling, and positive education. A passionate advocate for mental health and emotional well-being in educational institutions, he continues to work toward building inclusive and compassionate learning environments in alignment with the vision of NEP 2020.
