DODA: The NCC Wing of PM Shri Govt. Higher Secondary School Bhalra, under the guidance of 10 J&K BN NCC Bhaderwah, today enthusiastically celebrated Van Mahotsav 2025, underscoring a strong commitment to environmental responsibility and afforestation.
The event was graced by Brigadier D.N. Pandey, Group Commander NCC JK & L Directorate, as Chief Guest, with Lieutenant Colonel Manujendra Singh, Commanding Officer 10 J&K BN NCC Bhaderwah, attending as Guest of Honour. Both dignitaries engaged with the Junior Division NCC cadets, commending their exemplary discipline and heightened environmental awareness.
Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Koul, Associate NCC Officer, provided a comprehensive overview of the cadets’ accomplishments and extended a cordial invitation to the distinguished guests to participate in the day’s central activity: a plantation drive. Cadet Kush Kumar addressed the gathering, eloquently emphasizing the critical importance of afforestation and maintaining ecological balance.
The celebration also featured a ceremonial parade and an NCC class, during which cadets presented piloting honours to the Chief Guest. Staff members, including Mr. Om Parkash (Sr. Lecturer), Mr. Nirbheek Singh, Mr. Vipan Kotwal, and Mr. Sunil Kotwal, actively participated in the tree plantation efforts, further solidifying the school’s dedication to the initiative.
The event concluded with Brigadier Pandey recording a note of appreciation in the Visitor’s Diary, acknowledging the impactful program. The successful coordination of the entire initiative was overseen by Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Koul, under the astute guidance of Principal Mr. Satish Kumar.
