Expressing deep concern over the scale of the disaster, Ankur Dogra stated:

“The people of Jammu and Kashmir are enduring unimaginable loss and hardship due to these unprecedented natural calamities. The Central Government must step in with a robust disaster relief fund to provide immediate financial assistance, medical aid, and rehabilitation support to the affected families. We cannot leave our people to fend for themselves in this hour of crisis.”

He also called for enhanced coordination between the Centre and Union Territorry to ensure swift and effective delivery of aid to the affected regions.

Highlighting the recurring nature of such disasters in the region, Dogra urged the government to invest in proactive disaster management strategies, such as improved early warning systems, infrastructure resilience, and sustainable development practices to mitigate future risks.

The JKPYC stands in solidarity with the affected communities and pledges to work tirelessly to advocate for their rights and recovery. Dogra has appealed to all stakeholders, including political parties, NGOs, and citizens, to come together in supporting the victims and rebuilding the affected areas.
