Doda,March 25-Under the able guidance of the Chief Education Officer Doda, Sh. Bhushan Kumar Pathak, the Inclusive Education Unit, in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, successfully organized a district-level sports event for Children With Special Needs (CWSN), followed by an exposure tour to the scenic and historically significant Khellani Top in Zone Bhalla.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 121 individuals, including nearly 100 CWSN students representing various zones of the district, namely Bhalessa, Thathri, Bhagwah, Bhalla, Bhaderwah, and Ghat. The students actively participated in a range of sports activities designed to promote inclusivity, enhance self-confidence, and improve physical well-being. The event provided a supportive platform for students to showcase their abilities and talents.
To ensure comfort and encouragement, all participating students were provided with transport facilities, refreshments, lunch, and caps, which significantly boosted their morale and overall experience.
The programme was conducted under the close supervision of the CEO, Doda, who appreciated the dedicated efforts of Principal HSS Berarru, Sh. Anjeel Kumar Thakur,Mr. Abdul Latief, Senior Lecturer, HSS Dradhu, Zonal Coordinators of Inclusive Education, Special Educators,and escort teachers for their active role in organizing the event successfully. Their collective efforts reflect the department’s strong commitment to promoting inclusive and equitable education.
The exposure tour to Khellani Top added a joyful and enriching dimension to the programme, offering students an opportunity to explore nature, interact socially, and learn beyond the classroom environment.
The programme concluded on a successful note, leaving behind cherished memories for the participants and reinforcing the importance of inclusive initiatives in the education sector.
