DC Doda Flags Off Educational Exposure Tour for Girl Students to Jammu.

Doda, January 31-In a significant step towards promoting girls’ education and empowerment, the Deputy Commissioner Doda, Sh. Harvinder Singh, IAS, today flagged off an educational exposure tour for girl students to Jammu under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiative.

The exposure tour has been jointly organized by the Chief Education Office, Doda, and the Social Welfare Department, Doda, with the aim of enhancing educational awareness, self-confidence and holistic personality development among girl students through experiential learning.

The tour is designed to provide the participating students with an opportunity to visit reputed educational institutions, important historical sites and other places of academic and cultural significance in Jammu. Such initiatives are intended to widen the academic, social and cultural outlook of students and encourage girls, particularly from remote areas, to aspire for higher education and better career prospects.

Flagging off two buses carrying the students from the DC Office Complex, Doda, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the girl students and motivated them to pursue education with determination, confidence and ambition. He highlighted the crucial role of education in empowering girls and ensuring their meaningful contribution to nation-building.

The flag-off ceremony was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda Sh. Anil Kumar Thakur, Joint Director Education Doda Sh. Ashfaq Khanji, District Social Welfare Officer Sh. Zubair Ahmed, Chief Education Officer Doda Sh. Mohd Iqbal, Tehsildar Doda, Executive Officer Municipal Council Doda, along with other senior officers and officials.

More than 60 girl students are participating in the educational exposure tour, which is expected to provide them with valuable learning experiences beyond the classroom and inspire them to set higher academic and professional goals.
