An employee of revenue department was crushed to death by a speeding truck in Kralhar area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.
An eye witness said that the deceased, identified as Zaheen Ahmad, a patwari by profession, was walking on the roadside when a speeding truck him today evening.
He said that Ahmad, a resident of Gingal area of Uri, died on the spot.
The accident triggered a massive protest by the locals who demanded arrest of the erring driver.
They said that the deceased was walking on the right side of the road when the truck him.
