GANDERBAL, SEPTEMBER 26: Under the ongoing ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’ sanitation campaign, a musical event ‘Pakiee Hund MukaamSufiyaana Shaam’ was held at MadriMeharban Stadium here today.
District Development Commissioner Ganderbal Dr. Piyush Singla attended the programme as the chief guest.
The DDC said the motive behind organizing such concerts is to educate the common masses about the importance of cleanliness. He said that public cooperation is a must for the success of the cleanliness mission. Several theme-based programmes were held as part of ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ campaign that laid special emphasis on the importance of cleanliness.
Classical music maestros of HarmukhAdbi Markaz Ganderbal and artists from Radio Kashmir lightened the function by presenting soul touching raags and songs based on Sufiana kalam which mesmerized the audience.
