Jammu, Oct 5: A kidnapped teenager girl from Kashmir was rescued by the Kathua Police on Friday.
According to a Police Spokesman, ”The girl was kidnapped from Rainawari area by an accused, identified as Sajad Ahmad Kandoo, resident of Shanpora Habak, Srinagar.
”After receiving information about the incident, police activated the check points. The accused, who was trying to escape from the state, was apprehended at Lakhanpur”, he added.
Rainawari police was informed about the incident and the girl was handed over to them after completing all legal formalities, he added.
A case has been registered into the matter, he said.
