Solider killed in Jammu by Pakistani sniper

This comes a day after two major violations were reported in Poonch in Jammu and Kupwara in Kashmir.

One soldier was killed in Pakistani firing on Saturday morning in Jammu’s Sunderbani Sector area, according to the Army.

A Jammu-based Army spokesman said Pakistan troops resorted to ceasefire violation in Sunderbani Sector at 9: 45 a.m.. “In the unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistan, one Army soldier was shot by a sniper. He succumbed to his injuries,” said the spokesman.

This comes a day after two major violations were reported in Poonch in Jammu and Kupwara in Kashmir. One jawan was injured in these violations by Pakistan along the Line of Control on Friday.
