KARGIL:- Executive Councillor for Zanskar Affairs Er Punchok Tashi convened a meeting of the Sub Divisional officers at Padum here today and inquired about the status of road maintenance works on the Kargil Zanskar Road NH 301.
During the course of the meeting, the EC instructed the officers of Mechanical Division Zanskar to carry out maintenance works on the Kargil Zanskar Road by spraying soil, besides raising passing places at Penzila Top, Abran and other required locations so as to ease the movement of vehicles on the highway.
Meanwhile, the EC also visited the proposed site for construction of Mini Secretariat at Padum. He issued on spot directions to the Executive Engineer concerned to complete the project report in this regard and send it the higher authorities for approval so that work on the project could be kick-started well in time.
