Government forces on Monday launched a search operation in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A police official said the operation was launched after a tip-off about the presence of militants in the area.
He said the army’s 22 RR, Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Special Operations Group and CRPF jointly launched the searches.
The search operation was going on in the area when this report was filed.
